EV Frame Components and Swingarm Parts Fabrication

Now it’s time to see some real stuff!

When I put it together it looks like this:

The big wooden box is my battery doppelganger – the real one weighs over eighty pounds and isn’t exactly easy to move around.

The welded swingarm looks like this:

I used PTFE-coated sleeve bearings to hold a 14mm axle from a Honda that I got at the local motorcycle salvage yard. I kept the same shock and spring mount spacing as the original Bella setup. The only frame piece left to fabricate is the electronics holder, which will mount in front of and on top of the battery and continue along to the back of the scooter, taking the space where the gas tank was mounted. I still haven’t decided how to utilize the hole in the seating area sheet metal- should that be my charging port or a shut off switch?
