I wanted a blue car. I saw a great photo in an old Heinkel Club calendar of an elderly couple next to their car and I thought “that’s the color I want”.

I used single stage paint to maintain the original color depth.

The fabric supplier I found at a holiday craft fair. She made scarves out of the tartan fabric which looked just like the tartan in my red car. The fabric came from http://www.textilgrosshandel24.de/. Search for “tartan”. They have a lot of colors.

My interior side panels and woven package pouch will be black rather than the traditional gray.
