In 2022 I completed by year long conversion of a Heinkel Kabine to an EV (you can read about it at https://techdesignworks.com/heinkel-kabine-ev-conversion/). The conversion exceeded my expectations so I felt confident that I could (and should) convert a scooter. I decided to go on a mission to find a classic scooter conversion candidate. I started my search for a suitable Heinkel, but as luck would have it in September of 2023, I bought TWO Bellas in Long Island, NY. One scooter was complete R204, and the other was a parts-missing R203. I’m now satisfying two objectives; restoring a desirable Bella and converting another to be an EV.
