Heinkel Tractor

Jan from Sweden sent me photos of his tractor. Jan has a blog (http://skogsliv.wordpress.com/ ) about his farmhouse restoration. When he bought his house guess what he found in the barn? A Heinkel Tractor!

This one of a kind tractor clearly started as a Heinkel Kabine.  The body probably rusted out, and someone took the running gear and incorporated it into their own creation.  I’ve been helping Jan a little bit with suggestions on how to get it going again, but it sounds like the engine is stuck, the swingarm is jammed up, and I’m sure there’s a few more surprises from sitting.
I especially like the dashboard (with another paper insert in place of a clock, like the car at the Bruce Weiner Museum). It also looks like they utilized the entire front suspension as it was in the car.

The back is a different story.  Jan told me when you turn one of the rear wheels forward, the other rotates backwards.
Jan is deciding what to do. If you have any suggestions, you can contact him via his blog
